Busch Gardens Tampa Unleashes Full 2013 Howl-O-Scream Lineup

Busch Gardens Tampa's annual scarefest, Howl-O-Scream is back and better than ever for the 2013 Halloween season, including all new attractions, live show and scare zones - plus the park's biggest rides available after dark.

This year's theme are 13 separate evils that "have been waiting a century to come out and play for the most horrifying Howl-O-Scream ever.  It will leave you begging for mercy... and screaming for more."

This year's event will see the addition of three brand new haunted houses.  The BASEMENT, led by evil #4 a.k.a. "The Butcher," takes guests through a decrepit old house, naturally forcing them to head to the basement level where The Butcher puts "blood, sweat and tears" into making the best dishes ever.

Death Water Bayou is themed to evil #6 - Voodoo Queen - and her realm of black magic in the swamp.  Her "night servants" roam the area looking for new victims to satisfy their never ending hunger.

Finally, the park will debut The Experiment, a pay extra special haunt.  It requires "test subjects" to enter to have their fear tolerance and mental endurance experimented with.  Fear inducers such as roaches, snakes, needles and darkness will face visitors.

Howl-O-Scream will also have three new outdoor scare zones in 2013.  The 13 is based off of all of the park's 13 evils coming out to play in one area - and you get to meet each and every one!  Harvester's Haunt has a backwoods theme, including haunting bluegrass music as a background to a team of "sadistic scarecrows."  Pain Lane features "pain-inducing devices" that are used by two of the park's evils along a dark and shadow filled alley.

In addition to these new attractions, the event will also see five mazes return this year as well.  A live show named Fiends will also be featured, a music and dance show featuring classic monsters.

This year's event opens on Friday September 27th and will run Thursday through Saturday each weekend until October 26th.  For more information on Howl-O-Scream's attractions, check out the official website.
