Scott And Carol Present - An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City




Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is near and with Chrsitmas right around the corner our friends at Silver Dollar City are ready for you to come to their home for the holiday to celebrate An Old Time Christmas!
                                    

Voted one of the top 5 Holiday Events in the Country, An Old Time Christmas celebrates the true meaning of this magical season amidst the glow of over 4 million dazzling lights.

                                            

Starting in Silver Dollar City's square, be sure and see the musical 5-story Special Effects Christmas Tree as it twinkles and dances in unison with over one million lights adorning the City's square to some classic Christmas Carols.

Silver Dollar City's  grandest show ever and a personal favorite, A Dickens' Christmas Carol celebrates its 10th year at the park! This original musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic  has become a family tradition. This inspiring story features stunning Victorian scenery, period costuming, flying spirits, pyrotechnic special effects and a talented cast of 15 accompanied by a live band.

Debuting this season is  the all-new musical, It’s a Wonderful Life. Adapted from the Frank Capra classic, this original production from Silver Dollar City’s award-winning show producers, adds a twist to a story that so many people already love.   Writer/producer Brad Schroeder, Silver Dollar City’s Director of Entertainment and Events stated "Telling this classic story with music adds a new connection, making it even more emotional and impactful.” The show also features unique special effects and a talented cast of 14 singer/actors.

Sounds of the season can be heard throughout the park with shows such as The Living Nativity and Frosty! You can even see the jolly old elf himself at Kringles Krossing, 2:30-5:00pm and 6:30-9:00pm (until 9:30pm on Saturdays) through December 23 and twice each evening the 100,000 light Gifts of Christmas Holiday Light Parade.


As always, Silver Dollar City has festive feasts and holiday treats, sit down to a Hickory-Smoked Prime Rib Buffet, warm yourself with a bowl of Hearty Chili or satisfy your holiday sweet tooth with S'mores, Gingerbread Cookies or an Apple Dumpling while you watch the parade! An Old Time Christmas is open Thursdays through Sundays From November 3rd to December 23, plus Wednesday, November 21, closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and open daily December 26-30. Hours are 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. most days, with extended hours on Saturdays – check the website for exact schedules. We have attended in the past and found it well worth the trip.
