Quassy Water Park Expansion Underway

Might not look like much now, but use your imagination to transform the area above into a gigantic new water play area, filled with splash elements, jets of water and other features.  As the stakes in the ground would indicate, Quassy Amusement Park is going to do just that!  The park has released the photo with the following caption:

The huge waterpark expansion project at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury, Conn., is officially under way. Excavation crews were on the scene this week prepping the site where three new waterslides plus a kiddy splash pad will be added to the popular "Saturation Station" waterpark. Infrastructure work will continue throughout the fall and winter with construction of the slides and "Splash Away Bay" kiddy area expected to start in the spring. The new attractions will virtually double the size of the waterpark, which is adjacent to the park's Quassy Beach. The new attractions are slated to open Memorial Day weekend while the amusement park itself will open in late April. (Quassy photo)
