Fun Spot Action Park Wins Key Brass Ring Award

Arie Sr and Arie Jr accept the award at the 2013 Brass Ring Ceremony at the IAAPA Convention
During the annual Brass Ring awards Fun Spot Action Park was named the "Best Family Entertainment Center in the USA," an award the park owners are not shy about showing off.

And for good reason!  The title of best FEC in the entire country is pretty remarkable, especially with such ambitions expansion plans on the horizon.

Owner and CEO, John Arie, Sr. declared, “I am thrilled. I have been in this business since the 1960s and to receive this honor is something I want to share with my family and my Fun Spot family.”  Arie added, “We weren’t named the best in Orlando, or Florida, but they named us the best in the USA. That’s Huge!”

Fun Spot Action Park has been operating for fourteen seasons, and features four different go-kart tracks, thirteen rides, and 100 different arcade games.  It is the sixth FEC that John Arie, Sr. has owned.

Sadly the park will not be in the running for the award next year, but for a not-so-sad reason:  the park's $20 million expansion will make it more of a small amusement park, instead of a family entertainment center.  In the additional ten acres of land that will be developed with be two new roller coasters, a SkyCoaster, and many more rides.

Congratulations to the park for their award, we look forward to the big plans - especially that new GCI coaster!
