Idlewild's SoakZone Building Lazy River in 2013

© Idlewild
Idlewild and SoakZone, located in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, has just announced that the will be adding a brand new lazy river attraction for the park's 2013 season.  The style of ride has proven to be a "must have" at parks around the world, and Idlewild reports that it was the most requested addition for SoakZone.

The new lazy river will be 15 feet wide and stretch a total of 603 feet long.  Since it will be designed for families the river will be a maximum of two feet and four inches, and will utilize a zero depth entry point.  According to this story there will also be 6,000 square feet of lounging area added next year, I'm sure to help absorb the ever increasing crowds in SoakZone.

Idlewild is having a naming contest for the lazy river, with the winner receiving two 2013 season passes as a prize.  Check out this link to send in your idea!
