Busch Gardens Reveals Howl-O-Scream 2012

Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating 13 "unlucky" years of Howl-O-Scream by putting on an event that's bigger, better, and scarier than ever before.

"Busch Gardens’ 335 acres will be overgrown with dark, sinister, adult-targeted fun, including new haunted houses, scare zones, thrilling live stage shows and the chance to ride adrenaline-fueled coasters in the dark, including Florida’s first triple-launch coaster, Cheetah Hunt. Even the streets themselves aren’t safe as insatiable hoards of devious creatures pour forth from the shadows, led by a terrifying Trickster who is scheming to show fans the most horrifying Howl-O-Scream ever. It will leave you begging for mercy… and screaming for more."

The Trickster
This year's event will feature two new haunted houses.  Blood Asylum features a "creature" that breaks free from its holding cell in an asylum for the criminally insane, running rampant in the mental hospital with some grave results - pun intended.

Circus of Superstition 3-D plays on all the superstitions that we all have, from avoiding a black cat to cracks in the sidewalk.  The Trickster will make sure we deal with them though, as his army of crazed circus clowns force guests to face 13 popular superstitions in the Tent of Terror.

Howl-O-Scream 2012 will also see the return of five other haunts, including Alone - an extra fee maze that you must pass through all by yourself.  Another highlight will be the Faded Memories scare zone, where all of the park's best icons and hosts come back to create a "scrapbook of scares."

With all this and plenty of live entertainment, and night rides on some of the park's most popular coasters, Howl-O-Scream 2012 looks to be the best ever.  The event's website is now live, if you are brave enough to check it out you can do that here.
