Elitch Gardens' 2012 Expansion Announced

Three new rides and three new live shows will greet guests visiting Denver's Elitch Gardens this Summer, the park announced today.

Cirque Innosta Verano will impress visitors with a theater in the round experience filled with aerial acrobats and other "top of their class" performers.  Rock School for Kids will have the whole family singing along as performers move off the stage and into the audience during the show.  Finally, Reflections will light up the night over the park with a "wash of color, drama, and special effects."

But how about the new rides?

Elitch Gardens' Kiddieland will receive a makeover, including a new entrance structure to greet guests.  Inside they will find a new theater along with two new rides.  The Rockin' Tug will gently sway guests in an arc while the boat spins in a circle, providing a ride mild enough for kids.  The Tike Bikes will also be added, allowing kids to drive their favorite bikes as the ride spins.

The water park at Elitch Gardens will also see a new ride this season, aptly named Tube Top.  The ride features four person rafts that slide down and into a funnel section, rising high on the walls, only to wash out into more tube and hit the splash pool.  Tube Top, part of Proslide's Tantrum series, will be the only ride of its kind in Colorado when it opens.
