Zippin Pippin Being Saved?


Perhaps. The Mayor of Green Bay, Wisconsin, has gone public with his desire to move the Zippin Pippin roller coaster from the closed Liberyland Amusement Park to Bay Beach Amusement Park.

Bay Beach is poised for expansion, and rumors have been circulating that they want to relocate a classic wooden roller coaster - making the Pippin a nice fit. The ride was actually being torn down but that has ceased - for now - while talks take place.

Relocating the ride would cost well over a million dollars, but even that isn't stopping the Green Bay Mayor from trying to move the ride.

And if this doesn't work out, there's also a classic wooden coaster in Winter Haven, FL that needs a new home! It sure would be great to see Bay Beach get one of them.
