New Quassy Coaster Set for 2011

Quassy Amusement Park is happy to announce that their plans for a new family wooden roller coaster are back on track for the 2011 season.

After some legal filings were resolved, the park now has the go ahead to start construction on the ride in September in order to have it ready for the 2011 season. The new family sized coaster will be designed by The Gravity Group and is expected to cost between $1.5 and $2 million.

It will be 1,200 ft. long, and feature a first hill of 35 ft. with a 40 ft. drop. The ride will replace the Mad Mouse coaster the park currently has.

Not related but check out: http://www.cagreatamerica.com/DOCs/10cga_parkmap.pdf

2010 map with new shows and ride names. I know Cedar Point's getting Rock Band Live, but until I just saw it, I wasn't going to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.
