Delayed, But Still Planned

That's the latest update on the resurrection of Star Trek: The Experience in downtown Las Vegas. It's been a while since we've heard anything on the planned reopening of the themed attraction in the Neonopolis mall in downtown Vegas. Now the Vegas Sun provides us with an update, and while there's still no planned opening date, the project has not been forgotten.

Originally the hope was to have at least parts of the reincarnated attraction open this past Spring with the debut of the Star Trek movie, but those plans fell through. The developers still hope that one day the mall will be home to the transplanted rides, a restaurant, retail store, and possibly even a night club, all as part of the Star Trek experience.

Not sure if this is new concept art or recycled from when it was at the Hilton.

Although plans for the attraction are still a go, developers are no longer giving a time frame for an opening so as to avoid disappointment for fans. Looks like we all have to 'stay tuned' on this one.
