Adventureland Soaking It's Way to 2010

Adventureland, located in Iowa, is planning a large water park expansion for their 2010 season. In a recent news article the park talked about their plans.

Coming in at around $5 million, the water area of the park will be increased from 1.5 acres to 4.5 acres. New attractions will include a swimming pool, swim up bar, lazy river, and some 13 water slides, one as high as 75 ft. The additions come after the park added a large water play structure, Kokomo Kove, in 2008. The expansion is being touted the largest in the park's history.

Sounds like the park is making the step from having a larger water area to a full fledged water park. I'm sure the crowds will love their decision come next summer!
