Two Wonderful Reader Contributions

First, we have some great photos taken inside the now defunct MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park in Las Vegas. Reader Ashley was kind enough to dig up these old photos and scan them for us to see.

Frankly, it's hard to find any photos taken inside MGM Grand Adventures, so I'm most grateful to Ashley for her contribution!
^ That was just inside the park's entrance, a forced perspective photo op. I have a photo like this of my parents!
I honestly don't remember seeing this paddle wheel boat when I was at the park!
The park had a nice atmosphere even if some of the 'themed areas' consisted of no more than a food place an another facade or so.
I have to again say thanks to Ashley. Great photos!

Second we have a video that reader Steve took of the defunct Santa's Village theme park that was located in East Dundee, IL.

The park closed in 2005 and most of it was auctioned off in late 2006. It's very sad to see a park in the shape of Santa's Village in the above video.

You can also see an interesting aerial of the abandoned park on Live Local:
This link should get you to the above images.

Thanks Steve!
