Watery Future for Lake Compounce

The Record-Journal has an article today about the future of Lake Compounce's water park side of their operations.

The Amusement Park has mentioned plans to expand their water park in the coming years previously, but now some additional details are coming out.

The expansion is to be 6 acres, which will double the size of the water park as it currently is. Included in the plans are multiple new attractions, such as a kiddie pool, a wave action river, a 75 ft. slide tower, and a 2nd wave pool that will sit 'back-to-back' with the current one - meaning waves from each pool could crash into each other.

The expansion depends on a road being moved, once that is completed the park can start work. The expansion is to be finished in 2010.

I believe you interprted the article incorrectly. The current wave pool will be removed and replaced with two new wave pools.

Thanks for the correction. Is their current wave pool older or something?
