Cedar Fair Announces 2008 Plans

Cedar Fair has released their plans for the 2008 season at all their parks.

Among already announced attractions we have Behemoth, Thunderhawk, Dominator, Voodoo, Firefall, and today's announced Bondi Beach at Carowinds.

But they also announced a new family area at Cedar Point, with 7 rides and a family rest area, and Pony Express at Knott's Berry Farm. Pony Express is a roller coaster with two 12 passenger trains that are launched at the start and features many low to the ground turns and steep banks.

Sounds like a Vekoma Booster Bike or maybe one of Intamin's new rides which are similar. Then again, the Zamperla version has 12 seat trains like those mentioned in the press release.

I hope they do some decent theming on the ride!

I'm sure this release has a lot to do with some possible spin, or even distractions at tomorrow's announcement of 3rd quarter earnings for the company.
