Intamin's Zac Spin Coasters

One of ride manufacturer Intamin's latest creations is the Zac Spin roller coaster, two of which opened this past summer.

I only paid some attention to these rides, but certainly took notice of their odd vertical-only shape and unique seating arrangements.

Each 8 person car holds 4 riders on either side of the track, and the car swings/rotates freely on its own as the ride progresses. It looks all sorts of fun.

The reason I'm writing this is because the ever excellent Lifthill.net has published an in depth look at these new rides. They have some drawings of other possible track layouts, and even an interview with Intamin.

Plus they have beautiful pictures as always. Check out the translated-into-English version here.
