The owner of Dutch Wonderland, Palace Entertainment, is teaming up with Cartoon Network to create the first-ever Cartoon Network Hotel just steps from the theme park's door.

Formerly a hotel known as the Continental Inn, the Cartoon Network Hotel will be totally refurbished and themed, offering 165 guest rooms.  Described as giving visitors an "immersive experience," the hotel will feature popular characters from shows such as Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10.

Features of the new hotel include an interactive lobby, resort-style pool and water play zone, outdoor amphitheater with a large movie screen, lawn games, fire pits and other amenities like a wine bar, coffee lounge, indoor arcade and a Cartoon Network store.

The guest rooms are being designed to feature "interchangeable show theming" to meet the desires of the guests, which will also make for fun repeat stays.

This map shows the proximity of the hotel to Dutch Wonderland, guests could certainly walk to the park in the morning if they like.  The location in tourist-rich Lancaster, Pennsylvania may on the surface not seem like the most obviously choice for the first Cartoon Network themed hotel, but the area sees tons of families visiting each year.

Dutch Wonderland is sure to benefit from the addition of the hotel, but the entire area is filled with other tourist attractions as well.

The park most recently opened Merlin's Mayhem, a large steel family coaster that joins the park's two other family coasters already in operation.
