Cobra's Curse Now Vertical at Busch Gardens Tampa

© Busch Gardens Tampa
The next, and most exciting, phase of construction has begun at Busch Gardens Tampa on their new for 2016 family roller coaster, Cobra's Curse.  That phase is vertical construction, which just began this past week according to the theme park.

The park says that they will continue to place track and supports (the colors look great together, by the way) continuously until the ride is finished in early 2016.  Due to the layout of the construction site, the park also reports that they are working on the middle of the ride first, moving outward - the elevator-style lift hill will be one of the last elements put in place.

I would assume that after all the track and supports are in place there will be plenty of time left for theming to be installed that will have Cobra's Curse fitting in with the Egypt themed area.  The station appears to carry a good amount of theming, and there's always the giant Cobra statue to work on as well!

More recent photos of the work going on for the new coaster can be seen on Pixels at the Parks.
