NPN April 2014 Poll Results

The best wooden roller coaster in the Six Flags chain?  I guess that was an easy one, now wasn't it?

You guys voted and the winner, by a gigantic margin, was El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure.  The highly regarded coaster provides air-time that is in a class of its own, mixed into a ride that doesn't forget that strong laterals are fun, too.  El Toro picked up 46.5% of all the votes, six time as many as any other ride.

One of the chain's more recent additions to the wooden coaster department is Apocalypse at Six Flags Magic Mountain, it just opened in 2009 and was designed by Great Coasters International.  It came in second place with just over 7% of the vote.
Here are the full results, showing how your favorite ride placed.  The third spot went to American Eagle at Six Flags Great America, a classic that has been thrilling riders since 1981.

It is a bit interesting to see Roar at Six Flags America tie for last place - considering a similar Great Coasters ride came in second.  It's all in how you take care of a wooden ride!

Now let's take a look at Cedar Fair's wooden coaster roster - that's this month's poll.  Check it out over on the left!
