Scott And Carol Present - Ripley’s Scream In The Dark!

On October 29th, Sally Corporation officially became part of the Ripley’s entertainment zone attractions at Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya, Thailand. The company's latest, craziest (and loudest!) dark ride installation, Scream In The Dark opened to rave reviews.

While the theming is great, Scream in the Dark's emphasis is animatronics and special effects that are guaranteed to send chills down your spine. The ride also has a complex soundtrack featuring an array of frightful clowns, an evil ride-through FogScreen clown face, and an advanced targeting system which incorporates new interactive technology: a Scream-O-Meter. At the entrance to the attraction, Crazy Clown, a colorful and somewhat sinister animatronic character welcomes and taunts visitors in both English and Thai. He also makes an appearance during the ride.

The Scream-O-Meter measures the intensity of riders’ screams…the more you scream, the higher your score. The scoring is helped along by several live clown-costumed characters who make sudden and unexpected appearances during the rides course eliciting ear-splitting screams and hysterical laughter from riders.

The 7,990 sq. ft dark ride is located close to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Ripley’s Infinity Maze, and 4D Moving Theater. Admission to the ride can be purchased as part of combination packages or alone, according to Somporn Naksuetrong, general manager of Royal Garden Plaza, who was instrumental in bringing the Sally ride to the upscale mall under the Ripley’s banner.
