Green Lantern Now Standing (really)

© Six Flags

I reported that the Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure had gone vertical a while back, but I was plain old wrong.  They had assembled some supports in the parking lot that looked like vertical construction, alas it was not.

But now the ride has really gone vertical, for real!

In new shots posted to the parks construction gallery and Facebook page we can see that the station track and the start of the lift hill are now in place.  B&M coasters tend to move quickly after they start to go up, so there will probably be a lot of progress made rather quickly from here on out.

The park also included a shot of the former white track pieces, now painted bright yellow.  Apparently the Green Lantern has an enemy named Parallax that is an alien parasite of some sort that will be featured in the movie - and it's yellow.  Best guess now is that the track (rumored to be for the corkscrews) will be themed around the character.  Interesting, no?
