Bad Sign for Hong Kong Disneyland

News broke today that Disney has suspended all design and creative efforts for the massive expansion being planned for Hong Kong Disney.

Not only that, they took it one step further and laid off the 30 workers that were on the design project.

The company said that after two years of investing in and working with the Hong Kong government on an expansion plan no deal has been met so they are shutting down their expansion plans. Basically, they're really playing hard ball now.

The local government quickly started saying they hope Disney reconsiders, and I'm guessing that they're now figuring out that two years of bickering over money has not made the Mouse very happy.

Hopefully someone will bend and make the agreement happen - Hong Kong Disneyland desperately needs expanding.
